Watch any video with a Kurdish voice, as it plays!

Illustrated demo

See Kurdish dubbing in action

While a video plays, Zirek lowers the original audio and plays the Kurdish voice a few seconds behind the speaker.

An illustration: an English tutorial video that Zirek dubs into Kurdish while showing Kurdish subtitles.

Dialect:

This is an illustration, not a real recording of a dub.

Features

Why Zirek stands apart

We don't just show subtitles: we make the video speak your mother tongue.

Live dubbing while you watch

No downloads and no waiting for a file. Play the video, press Start, and hear the Kurdish voice a few seconds behind the speaker.

On any tab with soundLive

Both Sorani and Kurmanji

Choose in the extension whether the dub and the subtitles are in Sorani or in Kurmanji.

Sorani • KurmanjiTwo dialects

One clear, steady voice

Zirek uses a single unchanging narrator voice, so the dub never jumps between voices. Pick from the Gemini Live models your key supports.

Full control of the audio mix

Decide how loud the original video stays (say, 20%) and how loud the Kurdish voice plays (up to 100%).

Your key stays with you

You add your own free Google AI Studio key. It is stored only on your device, and the video's audio goes straight to Google, not through our servers.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions you may have

Is the dubbing live while the video plays?

Yes. As the video plays, Zirek sends the tab's audio to Google Gemini and plays the Kurdish voice a few seconds behind the speaker. There is nothing to download.

How do I get a Google AI Studio key?

Go to aistudio.google.com, sign in with your Google account and choose "Create API key". Then save the key in Zirek.

Is Kurmanji supported?

Yes. In the extension, choose whether the dub and the subtitles are in Sorani or in Kurmanji.

Is Zirek free?

Your first 30 minutes are free. After that you can choose the monthly ($2.99) or the yearly ($24.99) plan.

Do I have to pay Google for the API?

The Gemini API has a free tier, and Google sets its limits and terms. On the free tier, Google may use what you send to improve its products, so don't dub private or confidential content. More in our privacy policy.

Does my video's audio pass through Zirek's servers?

No. The audio goes directly from your browser to Google, using your own key. We only store your account's email address, plan and minutes used.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome on desktop. Other browsers such as Edge and Brave have not been tested yet, and Chrome extensions don't run on phones.

Does it work on Netflix?

Zirek works on any tab that plays ordinary audio. Services that use DRM protection, such as Netflix, may not allow their audio to be captured.
